Dan is an expert in applying design effectively in any size organization to achieve business objectives. From his entrepreneurial days co-founding a fine ceramic company to establishing Moen Incorporated as the innovation leader in the faucet industry, Dan is a proponent for design that supersedes expectations and an advocate for the importance of design as a catalyst for business success.

 

Tom Burchard, Vice President Brand Experience
Tom Burchard
Tom leads Continuum’s brand experience team in the use of human-centered methodologies to explore and deliver branded encounters. Tom has built an interdisciplinary team of brand strategists, communications designers and retail specialists in an effort to better assist his clients in the definition and translation of their brand attributes into meaningful product, service and environment encounters.

Matt Carlson
Matt Carlson
Matthew Carlson is an accomplished creative director with a focus on brand development and interactive design. He combines a talent for big ideas with a passion for small details. He has worked in the design industry for ten years, leading design teams and interfacing with clients, on projects ranging from identity and packaging to Web and application design.

 

Adam Casey, Senior Electrical Engineer
Adam Casey
Adam Casey has been a key contributor on many projects in his eight years at Continuum. Said projects include a radio remote controlled insulin delivery system, an advanced treatment device for complex sleep apnea, and a portable, low power control system for negative pressure wound therapy. He brings vast experience in embedded systems, including but not limited to extensive 8-bit to 32-bit microcontroller firmware design and architecture.

 

Grant Kristofek, Mechanical Engineer and Sustainability Champion

Grant Kristofek
Grant joined the Continuum team in August 2005, bringing with him a strong background in machine design and complex system integration. He is also the co-champion of sustainable design at Continuum. He has helped to impact big changes both internally at the company and in a range of client and concept work. Grant is the co-founder and head of the Sustainability Group at Continuum and has initiated a series of ongoing internal programs to foster internal growth and knowledge.

 

Craig LaRosa

Craig LaRosa
Craig began his career as a Graphic Designer working in the apparel industry, and in the 15 years since he has been involved with projects ranging from pens to environments to signage and branding for major international corporations. As Principal of The Brand Experience Group at Continuum, Craig applies his extensive retail and environments expertise to clients such as Playboy, Captain D’s, Spence Diamonds, and Quest Diagnostics.

 

Augusta Meil
Augusta Meil
Augusta comes from the design communities of New York and Los Angeles, with a background in marketing and communications. She has worked with clients in a range of industries to refine and tell their design story, from architecture firms and independent designers to multi-national corporations with a distinct point of view on their approach to design, product development and environments. First-hand experience working with clients to communicate the power of design developed her conviction in design as a business tool and drove her interest in strategic consultancies, and she joined Continuum in 2006 to further her understanding of such integrated practices.

Ed is a reformed adman who believes passionately in the power of design to build businesses and do other good things.  As a consumer, Ed likes to catch everyday service professionals doing great things.

Anna Muoio
Anno Muoio
Anna is a Principal of Practice Innovation at Continuum with a focus on creating new capabilities for the company. As a writer and consultant she has worked at the intersection of business, innovation and social change for the last decade. In addition to developing new organizational capabilities at Continuum, Anna contributes to a range of select projects.

Mandy Stehouwer
Mandy brings a fresh perspective and a unique approach to her client’s challenges and opportunities. Her role is to interpret research into concepts and innovations through critical thinking and creative problem solving. Most likely a result of her love for ceramics, Mandy has an affinity for color, texture, pattern, and materials. Industrial design allows her to combine that passion with her attraction to trends, objects, brands, and consumer experiences.

 

Dean Whitney, Principal Brand Experience

Dean Whitney
Dean draws from his forward thinking use of strategic design and diverse background helping companies get closer to consumers to create memorable brand experiences. In this capacity, Dean works closely with various strategy and design teams within Continuum to define and articulate brand attributes and assure that these elements are delivered via the multiple touch points of a brand encounter.

 

 

Gianfranco Zaccai, Founder/President Of Continuum

Gianfranco Zaccai
Gianfranco is president and CEO of Continuum, which he founded in 1983 as the first fully integrated product design and development firm in the world. Zaccai is known for championing a holistic and highly integrated approach to research, design and development. This vision has resulted in the design and development of many highly successful products that have gone on to define their category. He has set the stage for a new “experiential” movement in design, now becoming widely embraced, to move the designer out of the loft and into the world of the consumer, even before product development begins
